Facebook users know that if you want to sign up to use the site, you have to be 13 years of age. But who hasn’t lied about their age? People now start lying about their age when they hit their teens. Teens always want to seem older until they hit 29 and celebrate their first 29th birthday and start miraculously ageing downward or freeze completely, moving on to their second 29th birthday and so on.
While so many lie and make themselves older to join the popular social networking site, Anna Stoehr has to age herself down in order to join. At 114 years of age today, Wednesday, October 15th must put her age as 99, as the Facebook sign up doesn’t count that high. Born in 1900, Stoehr has seen a vast amount of trends, lived through two World Wars and has seen the sizable advancement of technology.
“That’s an aspect of my mom,” her 85 year old son Harlan said. “She’s been curious about everything all her life and continues to be curious about it.”
Stoehr, not only has a Facebook account with 30+ friends but an IPad and IPhone and makes tons of FaceTime calls. Who said the elderly couldn’t handle technology!
Happy 114th Birthday Anna Stoehr!
