A teenager is being forced to hire a CEO after her babysitting company took off with success.
Noa Mintz is a 15 year old who’s innovating business drive has landed her behind the wheel of a New York based company that she has owned since 2012.
Nannies by Noa is the name of the company that Mintz has been directing stating she got the idea. Based on past experiences of understanding what people need, she created her own business.
She stated, “I hosted art classes in third-grade and I used to take lemonade stands to the next level, so I always had the entrepreneurial spirit. It’s not that I wanted to be a babysitter. I just recognized what the potential of a New York nanny should be, so I gave it a shot and it got big very fast.”
Her company currently employees 100 part time babysitters and 50 full time babysitters. At her young age, she has almost two hundred clients on the books.
Mintz, who is still in high school started to feel the pressures of balancing both schoolwork and a fast paced growing business. That is why she called in help from a social worker named Allison Johnson.
“In the summer, Noa reached out to me and told me she was starting high school,” Johnson states and continued to add, “I had no idea she was a minor. Noa’s definitely unique. She’s extremely advanced as far as being business savvy. We always saw this mutual respect for each other.”
Mintz knew that she could not commit her time into the company she started at this current time, and that is why she hired Johnson to be her CEO. She knew she could trust the former social worker and went on to comment on their relationship by stating; It’s a very personal service that takes up a lot of your time. I really wanted to focus on school, but I loved the business and realized that people wanted to continue working with us, so I needed a CEO. We have a great working relationship, Allison and I.”
