Many of us are often guilty of helplessly wandering around the mall, or our favorite stores, simply because we got paid. Just like our parents so often told us growing up: just because you have money in the bank, doesn’t mean you have to go out and spend it (no matter how bad you want to)!
As a result of this wandering, we end up with pieces in our closet we know we’ll probably never wear, but our defense, “it was on sale,” or “this is so in right now!”
This inevitably leads to many bags of clothing donations, and hundreds or thousands of dollars that could have been better spent.
Keep these tips in mind to ensure you get the biggest bang for your buck, while still having fun buying the clothes you want!
1. Before going out on a shopping trip, take inventory of your closet. What do you need? What don’t you need? Make a list to keep you from getting distracted while in the store.
