As countless sci-fi fans anxiously await the release of the upcoming first installment of the new Star Wars trilogy, Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” they may have another film that could potentially be more exciting.
Rumors were released on December 29, 2014, about a possible spin off film of Star Wars may be in the works. The film would revolve around fan favorite character, Han Solo, and his early escapades that would lead up to the events of the Star Wars Films.
While the film is still just a rumor, there are already rumors surrounding who will play the young Solo. It’s speculated that Aaron Paul, famous for his work as Jesse Pinkman on AMC’s “Breaking Bad”, will be the one in charge of the Millennium Falcon. If this is the real deal, fans are going to be excited because Paul has been well received for his roles, and has that tough image that could depict the iconic character.
While it has been confirmed that Lucas Studios are in production for three spin-off films, this is the first set of rumors that are being taken seriously by reporters and fans alike. Jason Ward, the editor in chief of Making Star Wars.net, commented by saying, “I generally shy away from reporting too much on the specifics of the stand-alone spin-off Star Wars films because we hear so much stuff it can be difficult to know what to take seriously.”
One thing is for sure, and that is they are keeping the lid on pretty tightly by not confirming or releasing any official information about the upcoming films.
