It is worth noting that Rayner risked a disagreement with Starmer in April when she publicly supported Tarry as her soulmate. Despite his previous involvement in Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour leadership campaign and his attempts to halt the deselection process through legal means, Mr Tarry was not chosen as the candidate.
