Popular movie star, Anna Farris, and her husband, “Guardians of the Galaxy” star, Chris Pratt, have had to deal with one of the most scary events that could occur for an expecting mother, and she is ready to talk about what happened to her back in 2012.
Farris went into labor with her son when she was only seven months pregnant, and she recalls the events of that frightening night to RedBook Magazine.
“My water broke in the middle of the night at seven months,” she recalls while going on to say, “We rushed to the hospital, and they were able to halt active labor with magnesium. I was at the hospital and the goal was to be in bed for four weeks … but on the seventh day, I went into labor again.”
While the events of that night seemed surreal she explains that, “I was in denial. For hours I was like, ‘I’m just having indigestion.’ Chris and I were so scared, but then Jack came out, even though he was so tiny, he looked so good to us.”
She then went on to express how the night and the incident strengthened her relationship with Pratt; “It’s one of those things that drives you apart or makes you closer. I think that being a father is very meaningful and rewarding to Chris. He’s a great dad. He’s a little more serious than he was before. It forces your hand. You really have to become an adult.”
While Jack is healthy now, doctors did report that he may have to undergo some cosmetic surgery as he ages, and that the boy may have special needs, but Farris and Pratt are ready to handle any obstacle for the love of their life.
