All the Apple Watches are gone. It is unclear if this is due to high demand or low inventory, but the watches were gone in six hours. Apple is now saying that shipments for the watches will take a lot longer than originally thought. The watches are due to ship in, at a minimum, four to six weeks. The pre-orders started early Friday morning, 12:01 AM PT and 3:01 AM ET and then they were gone six hours later. Some variations of the watches won’t be available until the summer. In Japan the shipping times will be around six months.

Apple should pat themselves on the back for what they were able accomplish, at least until everyone starts complaining about something. Which is just to be expected when any new technology comes along, especially something that is so new is also different. There have been smart watches before the Apple Watch, but nothing was as anticipated as the Apple Watch. It is probably safe to say that Apple has done it again with the Apple Watch. They have a new technological hit on their hands.

The pricing for the Apple Watch starts at $349 and goes to as high as $17,000. So, Apple is doing well for itself with the new products. They were even able to sell 48,000 of the new MacBooks as well, and almost half of those people bought an Apple Watch with the new computer. According to USA Today, “Slice Intelligence said e-receipt data from 9,080 online shoppers indicate 957,000 people in the U.S. pre-ordered the smartwatch on Friday.”  Sadly, people will have to wait until summer to receive their Apple Watch.
