Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison publicly excused for raising an allegation of unfounded harassment in media society because he defended his handling of a scandal on women’s treatment in politics and his party.
At a media conference Tuesday, Morrison had stated that he would lead cultural changes amid a rising public dissatisfaction on a series of allegations on the abuse of women and granted that there had been a misfortune to his manipulation of the question. But during the event, he became involved in an exchange with a news journalist Corp’s Sky News, and said the company was investigating a harassment complaint made by a female team.

‘The executive president of News Corp, Michael Miller, rejected the complaint. The newspaper of the media group, which generally supports the Conservative government, ran pages before criticizing Prime Minister on Wednesday. “I accept their account. I was wrong to raise it; the emotion of the moment is not an excuse, “wrote Morrison in an article on Facebook late Tuesday.
The Fracas has derailed the attempt at Morrison to repair his standing position with voters, especially women who have been angry in how the claimed rape of a government member by another government member was considered a political problem more important than a potential criminal case.
“Voters admire when leaders recognize a failure and excuses,” said Haydon Manning, Professor of Political Science at the University of Flinders of South Australia. “This false accusation, however, undermines what he was trying to achieve.”
The issue of gender inequality has attracted tens of thousands of people to gather around Australia last week and has led to a crisis of the position of Morrison’s opinion. Morrison Drew Flak has declined to deal with protesters out of Parliament.
Morrison stated that it would announce a series of measures to improve gender equality in the policy in the coming weeks. It is necessary to say that it can now give women candidates quotas for his Liberal party at the next party. Legislature women account for less than one-third of the Liberal Party of Morrison, contrary to the representation of almost 50% in the opposition.
