President Obama started his tour in China in order to discuss appropriate business propositions with foreign governments. He discussed the benefits of the Tran-Pacific Partnership with China, and also met with Vladimir Putin to discuss foreign policy in Syria. The meeting was inconclusive and Russia did not return the request made by Secretary of State John Kerry to hold cease-fire in Syria. Hurricane Hermine Hours Away From Hitting Florida

Roads are vacated. Universities are closed. Companies are shutting down as Hurricane Hermine is starting to pick up speed alongside Florida’s Gulf coast. Hermine’s winds will rise up through Tampa to Tallahassee and meanwhile pick up off the Atlantic in areas through Savannah, Georgia and Charlotte, North Carolina.
