Four presidents from East Africa are set to launch the Sh3 billion Kisumu port project in Kenya. The project which is a facelift of the port is one of the biggest initiated in Western Kenya. A Federal High Court in Abuja has given the Department of State Services (DSS) the go-ahead to further detain the convener of #RevolutionNow Omoyele Sowore for 45 days pending the conclusion of its investigation. Rwanda Strives to Stop Ebola from Spreading from DRC

Rwanda, in an attempt to stop Ebola from spreading across its border from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, is taking extra measures. Crippled Gun Manufacturer Arrested in Enugu, Nigeria

A crippled gun manufacturer identified as Eze Cyprian who has been allegedly supplying firearms to hoodlums in Enugu has been arrested by Enugu police command. Gambia’s New Currency Set for Launch: Jammeh’s Portrait Removed

Gambia’s new currency which does not carry Jammeh’s portrait is set for release into the economy Tuesday, 6th August 2019. The Central Bank Chief, Bakary Jammeh presented the new notes on Monday to President Adama Barrow.
