The Kansas City Royals (65-60) are the hottest team in baseball, winning nine of their last 10 games. They look to continue that hot streak against the Miami Marlins (65-60) and starting pitcher Jose Fernandez on Wednesday at 7:05 ET at Marlins Park in Miami, Florida. Add another one to the list as 25-year old starting lefty Steven Matz has been put on the disabled list with tightness in his left shoulder. He will not start on Thursday, August 25, against the St. Louis Cardinals. The Los Angeles Dodgers (69-55) were hitting homer runs all over Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzales had a fantastic day, smashing three home runs. Corey Seager also had a terrific day at the plate going 4-for-5 with three RBIs. The Dodgers overall hit eight home runs as a team and trampled the Cincinnati Reds (53-71) 18-9 in a Monday afternoon slugfest. USA Men’s Basketball and Durant’s 30 Crushes Serbia For Gold Medal

The Men’s Olympic USA basketball team has won its third consecutive gold medal. They took down Serbia for the second time after defeating them first in pool play. Team USA showed no remorse to ease off the gas pedal in the second half. Kevin Durant started off the game blazing hot and pretty much stayed hot all game, scoring 30 points. After tearing his ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) in November 2015 with the New England Patriots, running back Dion Lewis will have a “cleanup” knee surgery, sidelining him indefinitely. According to ESPN Inside Source Adam Schefter, there’s definitely a chance he could return this season. Dion lewis was a vital contributor to the Patriots running game last season.
