American gymnast Simone Biles made history at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships on Sunday by becoming the first woman to successfully perform the Yurchenko double pike. This difficult jump, which is rated at 6.4 points, will now be named after her. Biles, who already has an original jump named after her from 2018, scored 15.266 with a total of 58.865 in the all-around competition. With a record-breaking 25 world medals and seven Olympic medals, Biles now has five skills named after her, two on the floor exercise, two on vault, and one on the balance beam. The U.S. women’s team finished at the top of the qualifying subdivision and will compete for team gold on Wednesday in Antwerp.
