The previous highest record of water levels in the Blanco River in Texas was set in the year 1929. Although, now it seems that the record has been shattered. A whopping 44.5 feet of water is the new record.
The Blanco River which is in Wimberley in Texas has rising water levels that still have not seemed to settle down. In the year 1929, the water levels rose to seven feet. However, when the water levels recently rose to five feet, that record seemed like it would stay intact. When it was observed that the water levels refused to stay out, it was obvious that the previous record wouldn’t hold out for much longer.
According to Yahoo News yesterday a third dead bodies have been pulled from the Blanco River, bringing the total number fatalities caused by the storm to 13. Homes near the river have been evacuated, and residents of the area are held up in shelters for the time being. Authorities continue to search home by home for victims or survivors, but the efforts are being back logged by the high waters.
