According to his family, Bob Saget, the American actor, and comedian best known for appearing in the sitcom Full House, died abruptly at 65.
On Sunday, workers discovered the actor unresponsive in his room at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Orlando, Florida.
After receiving a call from hotel staff, officers from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department came and pronounced him dead on the spot.
The circumstances of his demise are still unknown.
However, during initial investigations, police found no signs of foul play or drug usage, according to a short statement issued to Twitter by the Sheriff’s Department.
In a statement, his family wrote, “We are devastated to confirm that our dear Bob passed away today.”
“To us, he was everything, and we want you to know how much he enjoyed performing live for his fans and bringing people from all walks of life together through laughing.”
A professional stand-up comedian, Saget had just begun a new comedy tour around the United States and had just finished performing in Jacksonville, Florida, on Saturday.
In a message on his Instagram page after the event, he emphasized his delight at being back on stage, assuring fans that he was “happily hooked” to his profession.
“I’m back in comedy, just as I was when I was 26 years old. I suppose I’m discovering my new voice and love every minute of it “he stated
Although many comedians admired Saget for his caustic and often cutting performance, he was best known in the United States for his role in the sitcom Full House. He co-starred with John Stamos and fellow comedian Dave Coulier.
He received acclaim for his role as Danny Tanner, a widowed father of three kids, which he played from 1987 until 1995.
When Netflix renewed the show for the fifth season in 2016, he resumed his role.
In recent years, he has gained popularity among younger generations as the narrator of the television show How I Met Your Mother and for his cameo appearances on the TV series Entourage as a highly fictionalized version of himself.
John Stamos, who worked with Saget on Full House and Fuller House, described his friend’s passing as “heartbreaking.”
I am broken. I am gutted. I am in complete and utter shock. I will never ever have another friend like him. I love you so much Bobby.

I just can’t believe it. What a wonderful guy. He always went out of his way to make me comfortable and talked nonstop about his kids. Such a loss 💔 pic.twitter.com/Yr6C3R4lEW

Penn Jillette, an actor, and writer posted a photo of himself and Saget on Twitter with the caption: “Saget would have preferred a tweet that was both hilarious and in poor taste. Unfortunately, I’m afraid I won’t be able to do it. I’m just depressed. Bob was a fantastic person on all levels, and we will all miss him.”
