Most women whose fiancés leave them before their wedding day would spend weeks and even months wallowing in self-pity and rightfully so. But not Kiley Manulak.
Manulak, a young woman from Tampa whose fiancé broke up with her through text a week before their wedding, decided that instead of returning the dress she would just destroy it. She and her bridesmaids attended the Color Fun Fest in Florida and covered their respective gowns in bright colored cornstarch. The party, which is similar to India’s Holi Festival, was a turning point in Manulak’s life, one she’s glad happened now and not in the future.
“Thank you for sparing me anything, any heartaches down the road, and thank you for letting me go so I can find true happiness,” Manulak said in a message directed toward her ex.
