China to resume 15-day visa-free entry for Singapore, Brunei citizens

China’s embassies in Singapore and Brunei have announced that the 15-day visa-free entry for citizens of these two countries will be resumed starting from Wednesday. This decision comes after a suspension of over three years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The embassies have stated that citizens with ordinary passports from Singapore and Brunei will be eligible for visa-free entry for various purposes such as business, sightseeing, visiting relatives and friends, and transit. These announcements were made on the respective embassy websites.

In December, China began lifting many of its zero-COVID measures, but it was only in March that tourist visas started being issued again. Additionally, China has been actively pursuing a visa-free travel agreement for its citizens to Singapore.
