Cruella De Vil is the infamous villain in the 1961 animated film 101 Dalmatians. Glenn Close previously played the iconic villain in the 1996 live action version of 101 Dalmatians.

The 1996 live action film was directed by John Hughes.

According to IMDb, Glenn Close is involved in the new Cruella movie as an executive producer.

The latest film follows Disney’s trend of rebooting classic animated films like Beauty and the Beast. Films like The Jungle Book have been adapted into live-action hit blockbusters.

Alex Timbers is known for his work on Broadway. The director is credited for two Tony nominations for his play work. Timbers has worked on the play adaptation of Rocky and Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson.
