Doubles powerhouse Krejcikova, Siniakova part ways

The WTA announced on Sunday that Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova, the successful Czech doubles duo, will not be playing together in the 2024 season. This decision comes after the pair won seven Grand Slam titles together. Despite their recent victory in San Diego, they were defeated by Gabriela Dabrowski and Leylah Fernandez at the Billie Jean King Cup. Siniakova initiated the split due to injuries she experienced in 2023, but there is a possibility of a future reunion. The Czech duo, who are also Olympic doubles champions, secured their seventh Grand Slam title at the Australian Open earlier this year. The article was reported by Amy Tennery in New York and edited by Ken Ferris. The Thomson RushHourDaily Trust Principles apply.
