The E-Cigarette Movement of 2014

While smoking is still a problem around the world in 2014, the recent trend of the E-cigarette has aided in many people either quitting, or cutting back the amount of traditional cigarettes that they are consuming.

The E-Cigarette trend has been around for a little while now, but in 2014 it has exploded to new heights. The variety of styles of smokeless cigarettes and the vast amounts of different flavors available has brought on a huge social movement.

People are even able to put together their own devices, and are able to customize their smoking experience to their own personal preferences.

Even though the use of the E-cigarette does not produce the same offensive odor that traditional cigarettes do, their usage is still banned by several states while in indoor public places. Just like regular cigarettes however, people are still flocking outside to smoke the “healthier option.”

Are these contraptions the healthier option though? The truth of the matter is that the trend has not been around long enough to have substantial information that may provide the knowledge of potential health risks. While there is a lot less tobacco in these cartridges there is still in fact tobacco in them, which makes them addictive. A common activity for this type of smoker is allowing others to try the different flavors in your contraption, which anyone would automatically think about is the potential spreading of countless germs amongst others. Also when allowed to smoke these E-cigarettes users do not seem to stop inhaling this vapor, and not putting a limit on because the user thinks its healthier and may lead to potential health threats that may develop.

The E-cigarette as of right now is the apparent better option then smoking, even though we may not know what may be caused from them. We do know the risks of smoking traditional cigarettes and it cannot be any worse than that. Reports say that smoking E-cigarettes can help your chances of quitting by fifty percent, and it is even better at helping others quit than the patch and tobacco gum. If the upcoming youth turn to E-cigarettes, than the smoking hazard that exists may be diminished for future generations.
