Oprah joined Ellen Degeneres to have a discussion about the recent film “Selma”. The film revolves around the story of Dr. Martin Luther King and struggles with the Civil Rights movement. The film addresses the march from Selma to Montgomery in attempts to pass a low allowing blacks the right to vote.
Ellen admits that she cried from the first scene to the end and without sharing spoilers, she had reason to do so. She further admits that she would have been one of the white followers marching beside them, as many can agree with.
The film shares old photos and captions of those who walked back in 1965 on the battlefield that was Selma, giving an eye opening experience into the dark days of American History.
“Selma” is in theatres now.
