According to a Kentucky fire official, about a dozen people received medical attention after an explosion ripped through a UPS freight hub in Lexington.
Lexington fire department spokeswoman Jessica Bowman told news outlets that two people were taken to the hospital for minor injuries, while 10 more were taken to the hospital as a precaution.
The Lexington Police Department tweeted that the incident appears to be an accident.
Ms. Bowman stated that the freight hub’s structural stability is being examined as part of an effort to determine the cause behind the explosion.
Businesses near the site reported a loud explosion at around 8AM EDT. The blast was allegedly felt inside other buildings.
