The attack on the Orlando nightclub several months ago left the United States in a state of turmoil and sadness. Many people were killed during the shooting and more people were also injured. In the wake of this sad event, it seems like a tiny ray of light has emerged. The Washington Post is reporting that the last victim of the shooting is being discharged from the hospital. This news is good for many people worrying about the physical and emotional state of the survivors of the attack and their families.

The announcement came on Tuesday from the official Twitter account of Orlando Health, the hospital that treated the victims of the shooting.  The Washington Post is reporting that the establishment is releasing statements saying that all 35 injured victims have now been released from the hospital. A total of 49 people were killed and 50 were injured during the initial attack. The news of the final recovery is exciting to the doctors and to the people of the community.

The initial shooting took place on June 12. The Washington Post also reports that the men involved in the shooting fired several rounds into the club and gunned down many people in attendance. After the situation was diffused and the suspects were apprehended, about six people remained in critical condition at Orlando Health. Many thought that the victims would not pull through, but to the relief of the doctors and the people of the community, all six people were able to recover.

Mass shootings are becoming an all too common occurrence in the United States and all over the world. People are not only dying, but friends, families, loved ones, and communites are forced to deal with the aftermath of these tragedies. As the community of Orlando continues to heal, one can only see how the area will continue to move forward.
