Five Ways to Relieve Stress Under $20

We all want to relax from the daily stresses in our lives; however spa treatments can be a bit pricy. However, there are products, home remedies, and exercises you can do to make relaxation a habit in your daily routine. Here are five sure fire ways to relieve stress for less than $20.

1. Take a bath with Epsom Salt
These bath salts can be found in supermarkets. suggests that you “add two cups to your bath water to relax your muscle tension, detox your system, and aid in sleep and relaxation.” Because Epsom salts relax your muscles, you will feel as if your stress is leaving your body.

2. A Eucalyptus bubble bath
Another great bath idea to help you reduce stress is bathing with eucalyptus. Bad and Body Works sells a line of “Stress Relief” products for under $20. Although priced higher than Epsom salts, the aroma therapy of the eucalyptus helps to put your mind at ease. It does double duty as a stress reliever for both the body and the mind.

3. Go for a walk
You should do this any time you are feeling stressed because it will help clear your mind. By exercising you can distract yourself from daily stresses and focus on achieving certain goals. Try to walk around the block a couple of times, and then increasing your goals every other or a couple of days. By reaching your goals, you will become more positive and ready to handle stress on a daily basis.

4. Home facial rubs
These will not only help you relax, but they are fun to make. Using home products like honey, coconut water, brown sugar, cucumbers, etc. can get really messy. Even if you do not get the remedy right, you can release some stress by letting lose a bit. Allowing this controlled chaos into your life every once in a while can really let you feel in control of your stressful circumstances.

5. Stretch and hold it
Yoga is a great way to relieve any built up tension and stress you may have. By focusing on your breathing and holding poses, you will become both flexible in the mind and the body. If you feel as if yoga is too hard or too boring, try to find poses that you can strike easily. suggests the “supported butterfly pose.” Like all of the options listed beforehand, you can easily incorporate a couple of yoga poses in your daily routine. This way you will have special time set aside for yourself to relax almost every day or every week.
