Italian law enforcement has captured four of the people wanted in connection with the theft of an expensive watch from Formula One driver Charles Leclerc of Ferrari last year.

During their search of the residence of one of the suspects, the police claim to have uncovered two “expensive watches whose provenance will be further investigated.” This information was revealed by the police in a statement.

In April of last year, while on vacation in Viareggio, Italy, Leclerc, a native of Monte Carlo, had his rare Richard Mille watch stolen. Viareggio is an Italian seaside town.

The theft happened when two guys wearing motorcycle helmets wanted a picture with the Formula One driver. The driver complied with the instruction.

According to an investigating source, it is now impossible to identify whether any of the recovered timepieces belonged to Leclerc.
