FRAMED is a new digital form of art that displays a picture through technological realms. The new development has reached Kickstarter, and according to the site, it is an Internet-connected display that hangs on the wall and allows one to choose artwork depending on his or her desires.
Developed by Japanese startup FRM, the innovation has already raised nearly $300,000 with its Kickstarter campaign. Kickstarter reported that the full-HD IPS display has a walnut frame with inner graphic processing that permits one to choose artwork digitally.
This visually stimulating masterpiece has created a new array of possibilities with one simple platform. “Artists from all over the world offer a wide spectrum of artwork to be instantly collected and enjoyed on FRAMED. With dedicated web and smartphone apps, anyone can easily explore an infinite range of visualizations,” stated FRM on its Kickstarter page.
“That’s why we wanted to get people interested in Framed. With motion sensors and sound recognition, artists have a lot more tools to play with, and we think that there will be a lot more visualization than can be done with traditional art,” said cofounder of FRM William Lai, according to TechCrunch.
Anyone can browse media outlets for photos and have them instantly projected onto his or her wall. The gesture recognition operates off of hand movement rather than touch screen detection, according to FRM. The digital operating system is highly advanced, and there is now a free smartphone app that coincides with its functioning.
FRM developed this device three years prior to its launch on Kickstarter, and it has until Aug. 20 to gain more monetary support.
