Hailey Baldwin, Stephen Baldwin’s 18 year old daughter, took to Twitter to address those who do not approve of her very close friendship with Justin Bieber. Pictures of the two looking very comfortable with one another recently arose, which sparked some controversy.
Though Bieber and Baldwin still claim that they are only friends, the recent PDA pictures stirred up some emotions with Bieber’s fans.
One tweet said,
“He’s always f–king other girls but if you want to have no self respect do you boo @haileybaldwin.”
Baldwin was quick to respond:
“I have nothing but respect for myself what I chose to do in my personal life is my business!”
By Monday night, #Hailey was trending on Twitter, thought the tweets have now been deleted.
In a past interview with E! News at the Exodus premiere, Baldwin said,
“I’ve known him since I was so young—since I was like 13—and we’ve just been good friends over the years. We have just stayed close and there’s nothing more to it than that.”
In another interview with E! News, she stated,
“He’s just going through a time in his life where he’s transitioning in a really positive way and he needs good people around him, and I’m trying to be a good friend and be there for him and support him.”
