Just when Halle Berry’s fans were getting excited for baby number three, the fifty-year-old actress shoots down any rumors looming over her; Berry’s publicist also refuted the false accusations.
Speculations of Berry’s possible bundle of joy reached an all-time high at the Butterfly Ball in Los Angeles on Sunday. Berry cradled her stomach as she stood for photographs on the red carpet; the classic pose, for mothers-to-be, turned heads.
Normally, when a celeb is spotted holding her stomach, the media automatically assumes the woman is expecting. However, in Berry’s case, the pose was entirely innocent and unintentional.
It was made clear, in sassy Instagram selfie, that the “X-Men” actress does not appreciate the rumors. She used her social media account as a platform to obliquely fight all the fuss. The zoomed in shot of Berry, lying in bed with an “over it” facial expression, got major publicity.
86.8k people liked her Instagram post, captioned “Can a girl have some steak and fries??” with two emojis at the end; one is winking emoji, while the other one is rolling its eyes. Kudos to Halle Berry for standing up to the media for commenting on the shape and size of her body.
The award-winning actress already a mother to two children of her own. Berry has Nahla, her 9-year-old daughter with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, and Maceo, her 3-year-old son, with ex-husband Olivier Martinez.
At the 2017 City Summit and Gala in Los Angeles in February, Berry said, “Right now, being mom is my most important job and I now know that everything I do, everything I say and everything I offer them is really important.”
“I say lots of things, but I think what’s more important is that my children watch what I do. I’m more mindful of how I live my life and what they see me do,” Berry declared
This is a lesson for the media; stop making false accusations based on celebs’ appearances. Halle Berry is not the first target. Last year, Jennifer Aniston was photographed in a bikini after eating a meal. Her stomach was slightly bloated, which caused false pregnancy rumors to flood the media.
As for right now, Berry’s nest is completely full and the only baby she will be carrying is a “food baby”.
