Hamilton confident Brad Pitt can take F1 to new heights

Brad Pitt’s upcoming Hollywood movie about Formula One is expected to further boost the sport’s already growing popularity, according to Lewis Hamilton, the seven-times world champion. The film, which is currently being filmed at Silverstone during the British Grand Prix, features a fictional 11th team called ‘APX GP’. The movie cars will also be seen on the grid and on track between sessions. Hamilton, who is serving as a co-producer and advisor, believes that the movie will surpass the success of the Netflix docu-series ‘Drive to Survive’. The Apple TV film is being directed by Joseph Kosinski, known for “Top Gun: Maverick”, and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.

In the movie, Brad Pitt plays a retired driver who returns to racing against a young rookie. Despite being 59 years old in real life, Hamilton believes that Pitt’s age is not a concern, as the actor looks great and is in excellent shape. Hamilton mentioned that Pitt has been training and has already showcased his racing skills during practice sessions at Silverstone and a track in Los Angeles. Hamilton was impressed by Pitt’s performance and his understanding of racing lines, noting that the actor has always been a racing enthusiast and has a keen eye for the sport.

Hamilton also expressed his confidence that the movie will accurately portray the speed and excitement of Formula One. He believes that the film’s director, Joseph Kosinski, known for his work with fighter jets in “Top Gun: Maverick”, will bring a new level of technology and visual effects to the racing scenes. Hamilton expects the movie to make Formula One look even faster and more thrilling than it does on TV.

Overall, Hamilton is optimistic about the impact of Brad Pitt’s Formula One movie, stating that it will take the sport to new heights and attract even more fans.
