Hannibal Gaddafi, the son of the late Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, has been transferred from a Lebanese prison to a hospital due to his critical condition, as reported by Dubai-based Al-Hadath TV on Sunday.

Last month, Gaddafi initiated a hunger strike to protest against his imprisonment without trial since 2015, according to a report by RushHourDaily.

Al-Hadath, citing undisclosed sources, stated that Gaddafi’s blood sugar level had experienced a significant drop.

Gaddafi is facing charges in Lebanon for withholding information regarding the disappearance of Imam Musa al-Sadr, a Lebanese Shi’ite Muslim cleric who went missing during a trip to Libya in 1978.

In 2011, Muammar Gaddafi was captured and killed by rebels.
