Even though the world-famous television show Game of Thrones ended after its eighth season, George R.R. Martin’s sprawling world of fiction continues to take new forms on the small screen in different forms. Only recently, HBO released the new concept art teaser of the House of Dragon, an upcoming prequel of the show.
The first sneak peek of the new concept comes as the parent company of HBO, Warner Bros, announced that all of its shows would be streamed on HBO max from next year. The upcoming spinoff of Martin’s first show is based on the book by him called Fire&Blood, which will follow the story of the House of Targaryen.

In short, the new show would follow the family of Daenerys Targaryen, whom many might remember as the mother of dragons from the GOT. The House of Dragon is expected to take place nearly 300 years before the events of the Game of Thrones.
Jason Kilar, the CEO WarnerMedia, shared with fans in a social media post that “principal photography starts on the next ‘Game of Thrones’ series, ‘House of the Dragon,’ in a few months.” Paddy Considine will be playing the role of Viserys Targaryen, who succeeded the Old King at the Great Council at Harrenhal.
Moreover, the first ten episodes of the House of Dragon will be shot in England at Watford at Leavesden Studios. Interestingly, in the same studio, another anticipated film Batman is also being shot. Along with Vince Gerardis and Martin, Miguel Sapochnik and Condal will also serve as the executive producers as well as showrunners. Once the shooting of the much-anticipated prequel is completed, the company plans to air it on HBO Max and HBO.
