Incredible Health, a tech startup founded by two medical doctors, Imam Abuzeid and Amazon Alum Rome Portlock, has just launched some new features to fulfill the needs of the nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abuzeid explained, “There are two unique things about this platform. We have automated the screening process of nurses, so we can verify things like licenses, certifications, and experiences because we have integrated with several databases. Moreover, we also do custom matching algorithms.”

This means that the startup matches the right nurse with the right job, rather than forcing the hospitals to go through all the applicants for the specific position. Abuzeid added, “The result is that the hiring process happens three times faster. Currently, our efficiency is 13 days which is around 30 times more efficient than a job board. Our biggest impact is financial because we help hospitals to save around $2 million a year.”

The latest feature that Incredible Health has introduced is automated interview scheduling. According to Abuzeid, this has led to 70% of the interview scheduled through automation within 36 hours.

The platform has also introduced remote hearing, which is quite helpful during the COVID-19 pandemic. “Now, many new offers have started to go out. And the number of requests is around one being sent every few minutes. We have made the software quite efficient. Moreover, the urgency has also increased due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.”

Other than improving the hiring process, Incredible Health also addresses the diversity gaps in the healthcare industry hiring process. According to Abuzeid, this is due to the built-in features, like salary-estimate calculators and other tweaks to give similar opportunities to both genders.” Moreover, the startup also ensures that the interview isn’t biased towards any of the candidates.

So far, Incredible Health has raised $17 million in funding. It includes a Series A round led last year by Andreessen Horowitz and Jeff Jordan. This raised amount is slightly more than that raised by some other health startups, like Conversa Health.

Around 200 hospitals across the U.S. are already using the company’s services. Moreover, several healthcare platforms and medical centers, like Baylor, HCA, Stanford, and Cedar Cinai are using the services of the company. The startup is growing quickly and will continue to grow in the future as the demand for qualified healthcare professionals grows.”
