If you were ever considering purchasing Infiniti’s new two-door luxury coupe, the Q60, now may be the best time to do so. If you opt into the new reservation program, Infiniti is handing a ton of free stuff that sports a hefty price tag on their own.
If the words “reservation program” are vague to you, think of it as pre-ordering a video game, or putting a downpayment on a house. It’s just a fancy way to ensure you get one when the car is released. While the actual demand for the car is unknown, this is likely a marketing trick to get consumers to think the car will go fairly fast.
The free stuff that was mentioned earlier isn’t your run of the mill giveaway items like a pen or t-shirt. These are things that people would actually want, and save up for. These items include a GoPro Hero 4 Silver, Tumi Tegra-Lite luggage, a Bose SoundTouch wireless music system or a one-night stay at a Rosewood-family hotel.
Now with all of this cool stuff, you must be thinking there’s a catch, and there’s always a catch. Sadly this catch is somewhat expensive. To enter into the reservation program, you’ll be expected to put a sizeable down payment in on the car. The exact percentage of the value of the car that will be needed is not yet specified.
Luckily, Infiniti has also announced pricing for the car, to give interested consumers an idea of what they’re getting themselves into. The 2.0-litre 4cyl Q60 that is RWD will cost around $38,950 USD if you want all-wheel drive, add an extra $2,000 USD. The 3.0-litre V6 Q60 naturally comes with a price tag of around $44,300 USD and like before if you want AWD instead of RWD to add an extra $2,000 USD to the price tag.
While the 400-hp Q60 red has already been announced, there are little to no details on pricing, arrival, and availability just yet. If you’re not willing to wait for this powerhouse, all other models will make their way to your local dealership this September.
