For Americans and most of the world, customers waited in line for the new IPhone 6 and 6 Plus. The highly anticipated Smartphone includes a 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch Retina, innovative HD quality displays, longer battery life and a user-friendly camera. It’s thinner and still fits nicely in your hand. Though, in China, due to software security anxieties, Apple was forced to push back the date of release in order to address the issues.
Dealers in China have been purchasing the new iPhone elsewhere, such as Hong Kong, USA and Australia and smuggling them in to the country before release date, forcing China to crack down local dealers. China has seized several hundred iPhone’s as they are coming through from several entry locations, by car checkpoints, boats, as well as airliners. Several dealers have been caught with goods and profits estimating to $51,000. According to PC World, one suspect fled to avoid agents, leaving behind 286 IPhone 6 devices for an estimated profit of HKD 1.6 Million
Starting on October 17th, Apple will be releasing the IPhone 6 and 6 Plus in China. The smartphone will allow access to all three of China’s mobile carriers. Pre-orders will begin Friday October 10th according to Apples website.
