Iran President Raisi says action, not words, needed on Gaza

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi expressed his belief that action, rather than mere words, is necessary to address the conflict in Gaza. He made these remarks before departing for Saudi Arabia to attend a summit focused on the war between Israel and Hamas militants. Raisi emphasized the importance of unity among Islamic countries in resolving the situation. This visit marks the first time an Iranian head of state has visited Saudi Arabia since the two countries ended their years-long hostility through a China-brokered deal in March. Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, who accompanied Raisi, stated that the summit would send a strong message against warmongers in the region and contribute to ending war crimes in Palestine. Raisi criticized the inconsistency between America’s statements and actions, claiming that the war machine in Gaza is controlled by the United States, which hinders a ceasefire and expands the conflict. He called on the world to recognize America’s true intentions.
