Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr, is in the final stages of contracts for his role in Captain America 3.
Starring along side, Chris Evens as Captain America himself, according to Variety, the film will revolve around Marvels Civil war plot. All superheroes or persons with supernatural talent will have to register with the US government according to the Superhero Registration Act. While Iron Man sees no issues, the Cap believes is violets liberties and acts to protest.
Robert Downey Jr. will continue as Iron man for at least two more films as he will also be seen in next summers, “The Avengers: Age of Ultron,” as well as, “The Avengers 3.” Downey stands to make almost 50 million for the role, plus a piece of the box office prophets.
Rumors have sprouted about Downey being cut out of the film entirely during previous negotiations. According to Variety, “Originally, Marvel wanted to hire Downey for a small role, which would have required just three weeks of work. But Downey wanted Stark to have a more substantial role in the film’s plot, which would give him more screen time and naturally a bigger payday. This angered Marvel Entertainment chief Ike Perlmutter, who ordered the screenwriters to write Iron Man out of the script entirely, according to sources with knowledge of the situation.”
The situation, obviously worked out and fans will see both Iron Man and Captain America for the films third installment, which is due to start production this spring.
