J.C. Penney launches Ryegrass high womenswear brand

Plano, JC Penney Chain, Texas-based department store, announced the launch of its “highest female line,” Ryegrass, with a focus on providing luxurious styling at affordable prices.

 

The brand’s debut collection is designed with blouses, dresses, skirts, jeans, shirts, vests, and jackets as a variety of items, which can be layered together to create a chic look with ease.

 

Ryegrass mixes tie-neck halter dresses, tender and asymmetric jeans, faux-suede, and leather jacks with a soft color palette and features, such as flats, ruchings, and self-covered buttons a retro esthetic. The Ryegrass style combines In stores; the sizes range from X.S. to 3X and 2-24W and online 2-30W.

 

“We are raising the bar on our private women’s brand portfolio to provide our consumers with higher, more trendy designs, the Ryegrass range,” Michelle Wlazlo, Executive Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer, J.C. Penney, said in a statement.

 

“It sets the tone for J.C. Penney’s vision of affordable luxury clothing and high-quality style dedication at an immense value.”

 

 

Ryegrass is the fifth privately-owned brand of womanwear introduced by J.C. Penney within 6 months of the Stylus heels in autumn 2020 and the Mynah, Decree, and Sonnet Shores brands earlier this year. These releases form part of a broader development plan of the women’s wide range of J.C. Penney products, which has refreshed its brand A.N.A A New Approach denim, the Xersion active clothing label, and the line of the Liz Claiborne warehouse. According to the business, its women’s private label portfolio and wider brand offerings will be supplemented throughout the year. The Ryegrass brand is currently only available in 400 J.C. Penney locations and on the retail company website.
