The 160 million album selling ‘Queen of pop’, Janet Jackson, is scheduled to debut a new album later this fall, her first in over seven years.

Janet announced her comeback on May 16th via Twitter, receiving an abundance of support from many, including CEO, Hartwig Masuch, of BMG records. The label expected to release Janet’s new album, who said on her behalf, “Janet is not just a supreme artist, she is a unique cultural force whose work resonates around the world.”

Janet has shown no signs of discontent with the label or the songwriting, and the pop-star was quoted saying, “Thank you to the talented team at BNG, my new artistic home.”

Janet’s last album, Discipline, was released in 2008, but that isn’t discouraging the acclaimed singer. Chief creative officer of BMG, Zach Katz, said, “She is a global artist whose career has touched on virtually every area of pop culture.”

So far, Janet’s new album has yet to be titled.
