Lady Gaga Announces 2 Year Las Vegas Residency

It’s official, Mother Monster is coming to Las Vegas and her “Poker Face” is staying awhile!

Lady Gaga herself broke the news on Twitter that she will be having a two-year residency at MGM’s Park Theater on Tuesday. The residency will kick off December 2018.

“The rumors are true! I will have my own residency at MGM’s Park Theater,” the 31-year-old singer-songwriter tweeted. “Get ready for a brand new show!! It’s been my lifelong dream to be a Las Vegas girl, I’m so overjoyed! LOVE YOU LITTLE MONSTERS WE DID IT, MEET ME IN Las Vegas!! #LasVegasGoesGaga.”

Lady Gaga is no stranger to the big stages. While currently embarking on her Joanne World Tour, she played the Super Bowl Halftime Show this year while also headlining Coachella.

“It’s the land of Elvis, Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra, the Rat Pack, Elton John, Judy Garland and Liza Minnelli. It has been a life-long dream of mine to play Las Vegas. I am humbled to be a part of a historical line-up of performers, and to have the honor of creating a new show unlike anything Vegas has ever seen before,” Gaga said in a statement on Tuesday. “I’ll tell you exactly what I told my MGM and Park Theater partners – you can count on this performer always for one thing…I’ll leave my heart on the stage every single night. Thank you to my fans for always believing in me. Meet me in Las Vegas baby, we did it!”

It is good to hear that Lady Gaga is coming to Vegas, while other stars are retiring their shows. Britney Spears’, “Piece Of Me”, will have its final show on New Years Eve this year. Jennifer Lopez will be hanging up her Vegas hat and play her final show in September 2018.

Lady Gaga has had a fantastic year with her “Joanne” album having success after success since its late 2016 release. Headlining Coachella and the Super Bowl Halftime, her world tour, Netflix documentary, starring in the remake of “A Star Is Born”, and so on. Having her own Las Vegas show will be another great experience for Gaga to hang onto her belt and we can’t wait to see how she does in the city of lights!
