Man Utd agree to sign Denmark’s Hojlund from Atalanta, media report

Manchester United have reached an agreement to sign Denmark striker Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta. The deal includes a five-year contract with the option for an additional season. According to British media, the transfer is valued at £72 million ($92.52 million), making Hojlund the sixth most expensive signing in United’s history.

Hojlund, who previously played for FC Copenhagen and Sturm Graz, joined Atalanta at the beginning of the 2022-23 Serie A season. He had an impressive breakout campaign, scoring nine goals in the league. Now, the 20-year-old is set to move to Old Trafford and join Manchester United.

This signing marks United’s third acquisition during the transfer window. They have already secured the services of Chelsea’s Mason Mount and goalkeeper Andre Onana from Inter Milan. With these additions, United aims to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.

Last season, Manchester United finished in third place, securing a spot in the prestigious Champions League. Additionally, they emerged victorious in the League Cup in February, adding to their successful campaign.
