Manchester United agree deal for Mount from Chelsea -The Athletic

Manchester United have reportedly agreed to sign midfielder Mason Mount from Chelsea on a five-year contract, according to The Athletic. The London club has accepted United’s third offer, which is worth £55 million ($69.39 million) plus an additional £5 million in add-ons.

Mason Mount, a 24-year-old product of the Chelsea academy, made his debut in 2017. Since then, he has scored 33 goals and provided 37 assists in 195 appearances across all competitions for the club. He has also had loan spells at Vitesse Arnhem and Derby County. Mount played a crucial role in helping Chelsea win the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup titles.

Despite being hampered by a pelvic injury last season, Mount still managed to play 24 league games, scoring three goals and providing two assists.
