When the “Avengers” film came out back in 2012, it became one of the highest grossing films of all time, bringing in over 1.5 billion dollars since its initial release.
This past Monday, during the ESPN’s College Football National Championship, there were definitely some patrons watching the channel that were not interested in the football game. Marvel announced the long awaited second preview for their upcoming film, “The Avengers 2: Age of Ultron,” and they were not disappointed.
While the preview is like the first that it is very ambiguous, and did not reveal too much about the actual story, Marvel has done a fabulous job making fans want more.
The preview released on Monday was dark, action packed, and introduced viewers to potential new characters who live within the Marvel Universe, the only thing is there is still no confirmation regarding who these characters are, and what impact they will play in the film.
The preview did give watchers a better look at the upcoming villain Ultron, who is voiced by James Spader, a man whose voice perfectly captures the villainous persona of the robot set out to exterminate the human race. A robot actually made by Tony Stark, Robert Downey Jr., to help the Avengers alleviate the pressures of protecting the world.
As for the Avengers themselves, the characters appear to be losing control over the situation, and are even seen at each other’s throats (again), with the most exciting part of the preview being the battle between the Incredible Hulk and Iron Man, who is seen wearing the Hulkbuster suit, that comic fans are praising.
Comic book fans are just going to have to continue to wait for another preview to learn more about the plot of one of the most anticipated movies of the year.
