North Korea displayed never seen intercontinental ballistic missile at Saturday’s historic military parade. At the parade, it exhibited the country’s long-range weapons for the first time in two years.
Analysts suggest that the missile, seen on a carrier truck with 11 axles, would be one of the biggest in the world. It was a huge intercontinental road-mobile ballistic missiles (ICBMs).
“This missile is a beast,” exclaimed Melissa Hanham, Deputy Director of the Open Nuclear Network.
The Hwasong-15 is the longest-range missile ever that North Korea will test. Besides, it is also what seemed to be a fresh submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM).

The parade marked the 75th anniversary of the establishment of North Korea’s governing Workers’ party.
Meanwhile, officials in South Korea and the United States stated that Kim Jong Un might leverage the event to showcase a new “strategic tool,” as stated earlier this year.
Furthermore, a senior official of the US administration labeled the ICBM display disappointing. He also went on to call on the government to seek a full denuclearization.
North Korea’s intercontinental ballistic missile
The parade included ballistic missiles from North Korea for the first time since Kim started speaking with world leaders, including the US in 2018.
The US official said Washington held fast to four promises made by Trump and Kim at their landmark June meeting that year. He also noted Pyongyang’s promise to “rive for full denuclearization of the Korean peninsula.”
Moreover, Kim did not make any particular reference to the United States or to the denuclearization talks currently on the table. Kim said, “We would keep developing our national defense force and self-defensive war deterrent.” But he promised that the military force of the country would not be preemptively utilized.
In addition, the North Korean leader accused foreign sanctions, typhoons, and coronavirus of blocking him from meeting his economic growth commitments.
“I’m embarrassed that I’ve never been able to compensate you adequately for your tremendous confidence,” he said. “My sacrifices and dedication were not enough to get our people out of their difficult livelihoods.”
The video revealed that Kim was making an entrance when a clock hit midnight. Meanwhile, he dressed in a gray suit and a tie as he waved at the people. Later, he welcomed children’s flowers flanked by military officials in Pyongyang’s newly restored Kim Il Sung Square.
Furthermore, Kim talked for about half an hour, often noticeably sweating in the chilly morning breeze. He sheds tears as he praised the troops and laughed and smiled as he observed the missiles.
With thousands of soldiers marching in formation, displays of newer modern military equipment, like tanks and fighter jets firing flares and fireworks, the parade was intensely choreographed.
Experts suggested that the latest, larger ICBM is probably built to hold various independent re-entry vehicles (MIRVs). This will enable the attack of more targets and rendering interception more challenging.
