The original “BioShock” game will make it to iOS this summer. It will be available on iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad Mini 2 and iPhones 5C and 5S. 2K Games will release it.
Most game experts expect it to be a bit pricey since it falls into the “premium” game category, which means it will cost somewhere around $10. The game is already seven years old, so 2K probably will not ask for more than that.
Naturally, iOS devices are less capable of putting the game’s full potential and graphics on full display, so do not expect images to be nearly as crisp or colors to be as rich as they were on the console and PC versions, even way back during its initial release. Still, there must be a demand for more proven games to make it to handheld devices, and this one will fill the slot nicely.
Another change is touch controls; you can buy a Bluetooth game pad to play it, but most people do not make that choice for a phone or a tablet—or rather, an iPad or iPhone since no plans for Android have been announced. To top it off, this version of “BioShock” will not have extra content available for download. Still, hardcore fans will get over it; upon its release, it will definitely offer a welcome break from Candy Crush.
