Overswipe App Enables User to Securely Display Photos

Many iPhone users feel a special kind of anxiety when they hand it over to someone who wants to see a picture. No one wants to expose private ones accidentally. Overswipe is an app that helps you access and display only photos that you want others to see.

There are plenty of apps out there that can lock away you most private iPhone videos and photos. Overswipe’s aim is to secure, for instance, pictures of your club activities from colleagues or family. It isn’t intended to replace apps that lock away pornographic material. After giving the app permission to access your photos, a user ticks off the photos he or she wants others to see. It costs 99 cents to upgrade and view more than five photos at a time. Overswipe co-founder Jonathan Hughes explained the different line of attack his app takes in dealing with limiting access to viewers.

“I am pretty tech savvy, but the simple fact is that I do not curate my photos with albums, and I’m willing to bet that 95 per cent of iPhone users don’t either. Due to the sheer volume of photos we take on a daily basis, who has time for this upkeep? “

The app is straight-forward enough for even the casual techie to master, and there’s an option to add a password if users are paranoid that a person will exit out and go searching for the original photos for unhinged access. Overswipe released in April and already has 12,000 users. it is available exclusively in the App Store.
