She added, “The reports of the use of live fire during the riot are not true, and claims about several rioters injured and one killed are known.” Aljazeera reported that the thirteen-year-old kid was part of a weekly protest against the illegal settlement in a village near Ramallah.
Moreover, the Palestinian foreign ministry described the shooting as an “ugly” war crime. WAFA, the Palestinian news agency, reported that as many as four other people were also injured in the firing by the Israeli troops.
The village of Mughayyir, where the incident happened, is located near several illegal settlements and has been a prominent site of clashes between the Israeli troops and Palestinian protesters.
