Revolut lets different businesses accept online payments

The French startup provides business accounts to its customers, and it is an amazing solution for B2B businesses.

Revolut lets you accept online payments

The French startup, Revolut, has introduced its own acquiring solution, enabling businesses to accept credit cards from their customers.

The company already provides business accounts, and allows the customers to receive and send international payments. You also have the opportunity to exchange funds in multiple currencies. Moreover, you can order the card and spend the money from the Revolut account. Currently, the company supports around 14 currencies and settles payments from the company’s business account.

Regarding the fees, you will get free credit payment processing, according to your plan. However, above a certain limit, you pay only 1.3% on card transactions from the customers in the U.K. and Europe. For other cards, you will have to pay 2.8% on transactions.

Credit cards

This is a bit cheaper than Stripe. However, companies like Stripe have been developing and using the payment infrastructure for several years. Recently, another API payment company, Currency Cloud, raised $80 million for cross-payment APIs.

Currently, Stripe supports more currencies, payment methods, and advanced fraud prevention features, etc.
Once you make the merchant account, Revolut provides plugins for Magneto, Prestashop, and WooCommerce.

Moreover, you have the opportunity to use the merchant API and add the widget checkout on your custom website.

One of the biggest benefits of Revolut’s acquiring solutions is that it is combined with Revolut business. You can also view the banking and payments in the same interface. You don’t need to alternate your Stripe account and bank account to get the transaction data.

This could be an amazing solution for the B2B businesses that don’t have tons of transactions and don’t require separate payment solutions. Let’s wait and see how the customers view the API.

The online payments are present for the customers in Austria, Belgium, the U.K., France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, and Sweden. This feature will soon be available for the rest of the European Economic Area too.
