The Federal Investigative Agency has recently confirmed Samuel Little, now in prison, the biggest serial killer in the history of the US.
He has been connected with at least 50 murders that took place between 1970 and 2005. Currently, he has been serving life imprisonment for killing three women. He was initially arrested in a drug case in 2012. It was his DNA test that opened a new Pandora’s Box.
Most of Samuel Little’s victims are said to be stray people, and the majority of those were swarthy women, either sex-workers or drug addicts. It is also being alleged that the FBI never took these murders seriously in the first place as most of them were dismissed as mere accidents or drug overdose-related incidences. Even some of the dead bodies of the victims were never recovered.
The former boxer, Little, would torture his victims before suffocating them to death. But mostly, he killed them without external injuries.
FBI has said in a statement on Monday that all of his confessional statements are “reliable”. The federal agency’s crime analyst Christie Palazzolo has said that Samuel little could not imagine ever getting caught as he thought his deeds were going unnoticed.
The authorities have issued additional information of five more cases in the hope of tracking the unidentified victims from Florida, Kentucky, Louisiana, Nevada, and Caucus.
The agency had earlier made sketches of the victims with the help of Little during his imprisonment to track more victims.
FBI also broadcasted Little’s interviews in which he explained the details of his murderous acts. Of the cases which the FBI is trying to solve, one is related to the early 70s. About this case, Little told that he had met a swarthy transgender woman named Mary Anne or Marianne.
Little also told that one of his victims was a 19 years old girl to whom he killed near a sugarcane field before dragging her into the shrubs. He said that the ground was so soft that he couldn’t keep balance and she fell from his hands.
In another case, Little suffocated to death a woman in the motel room in Las Vegas. Recalling this murder, he said he met with her son soon afterward and had a handshake with him. After killing that woman, he pushed her from a steep in the suburb of the city.
The authorities say that little has partially lost his memory relating to the murders due to which they are facing hurdles in the investigation. Little cannot recall his mind regarding the dates of his murders.
So far, it is not clear whether Little will have to face more suits in the aftermath of his confessions.
Little was arrested in 2012. He was accused of criminal activities relating to drugs. Then he was transferred to California from Kentucky, where authorities took his DNA. He already had a huge criminal record in various states, ranging from robbery to rape.
His DNA result found himself connected to murder in the late 80s, which had been clueless so far. Though he was not convicted in this case, he was awarded three life terms, non-bailable.
Then he was handed to FIA’s program that deals with persons involved in violent crimes. Under this scheme, the people convicted for violent and sexual crimes are thoroughly studied. Also, it helps to solve the crime cases at the local level with the concerned law-enforcing agencies.
James Holland, a Texas’s Ranger, interviewed Little the previous year. He says that the major reason for Little’s cooperation was the serial killer’s belief that he would be out one day. Ranger Holland questioned Little almost on a daily basis and then presented a complete report of his crimes.
