There is being a rock n’roll star and living up to the image that is associated with being rebellious, and then there is straight up irresponsibility. Adam Lazzara, singer of popular alternative rock band, Taking Back Sunday, was recently arrested for driving under the influence.

TMZ reported that the singer was pulled over by authorities in Charlotte, North Carolina after Lazzara, ran a red light. Upon the police approaching his car and speaking with him, it was evident that Lazzara was under the influence of alcohol due to the smell.

Lazzara was taken into custody, arrested and booked. Lazzara was released on a 2,500 dollar bail. The band will still continuing with their national tour that they have had planned for months now with the Menzingers and Letlive; kicking off Wednesday night in New Orleans.

The bands representative has yet to release an official statement on their behalf.

Lazzara and Taking Back Sunday are a globally renowned punk / alternative rock band that has achieved so much. With that being said they are role models for their fans and Lazzara may have set a bad example to those who look up to him. Lazzara most likely has other means of transportation especially while leaving for tour, and many agree that no one should be driving under the influence no matter the reason.
