According to Israeli officials, a vehicle struck a group of travelers in Tel Aviv on Friday, murdering one and injuring five.

On a Tel Aviv promenade, a local police officer discovered numerous injured individuals and an overturned vehicle when he arrived. The officer “neutralized” the driver as he reached for a revolver, according to the police.

The Friday morning shooting of a vehicle transporting two Israeli sisters in the occupied West Bank was the second fatal incident of the day. The nationality of the victim has yet to be determined, but he or she was a tourist visiting Tel Aviv.

According to a statement from his office, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered the Army to “activate all reserve border police units” and the IDF to deploy additional personnel to combat terror attacks.

The Magen David Adom agency verified that all of the victims in the Tel Aviv incident were foreigners.
