Many people awake in shock this morning as news spread of a terrorist attack on a Newspaper that created humorous jokes about the prophet Muhammad.
This is the worst attack Europe has experienced in years as France is now on their highest alert as the three gunmen are still on the loose. Two gunman shot at journalists in the street, killing several, screaming, “God is the greatest” in Arabic. They demanded to know where the newspaper office was and ran in, killing 2 police officers and ten journalists.
A manhunt is now underway to locate the two, perhaps three gunman. They are said to have spoken fluent French and identified themselves as Al Qaeda. This attack was well planned as they were wearing special gloves; combat trained, and used automatic weapons specially designed for an attack like this.
This is not the first time this newspaper has been under scrutiny, as they receive threats all the time, but this is the first actual attack. The question is now, how safe is our freedom of speech? First with North Korea and “The Interview” and now in Paris.
